I just left Area 51 and was told this (actually was not told, they YELLED this at me when I asked for wholesale): WE CANNOT ACCEPT WHOLESALE ORDERS UNTIL JULY 3RD.
HUGE #FAIL on Area51’s part. I am going back to Red Apple for better prices and nicer people.

Way overpriced this year. Very disappointed. Same exact fireworks higher prices. Someone’s getting greedy. Go to Red Apple! Red Apple has nice display cases and have the best quality. Those like me traveling far for large wholesale orders. Their prices are not worth the risk. The break and lift are how the grams are counted. The lift is the only thing they been adding in to the canister shells and only projects a 5-7 feet difference. The break is the same. The only reason there prices are higher is greed.

I have now been prompted 3 times to take down my review! Originally wrote this review on may 4th! Not really sure why my review got flagged by the owner…Why was my review flagged? Why did google prompt me to write it again? Anyways here it is again My family and i have been shopping here for 3 years because we thought we were getting good prices. I did some shopping around this year and found out that other places have wholesale as well and they do tier pricing and other places offer way lower prices. I asked an employee at AREA 51 if they did tier pricing and their answer was that they do not do price adjustments. Last month we shopped at AREA 51 again because my father really wanted some AREA 51 shells. We got in line behind 2 guys that had a lot of fireworks in their carts. Total they had about 3 carts full and planned to still pick more up. We overheard them speaking to the employee about prices for them. The employee then got on the phone, spoke to someone and mentioned all of the fireworks that the two customers had ordered. The employee then typed something into the computer register which did something to the price and rang up the total which was less than before. My father and i noticed. We got our things and loaded them up. We then proceeded to walking over and talking to the gentlemen about what had occurred inside regarding the discount they received. They were outside loading up their fireworks. They said that the only way to get a lower the price is by ordering a lot of fireworks all at once and you have to know the owner personally. My father and i could not believe what we had heard. We had been lied to inside. We spend no more than 500 a year on fireworks so there would be no way we would ever see a price adjustment. We are taking our business to RED APPLE FIREWORKS. I will keep rewriting my review no matter how many times it gets flagged. Crooks!

So I was reading the review but there is some misinformation in the post. The front of the store does not give discounts only what promotions are available at that time. The back of the store does wholesale, these are traditionally 500 or more in fireworks purchase at alien fireworks, red Apple does a buy by the case program and you get points. Phantom and the spot there does buy 2 or 3 of something get something free. If you are really going to be spending money on fireworks it’s probably in your best interest to do the research before jumping into a store. The fireworks stores purpose is to sell fireworks , as a previous wholesaler my job was to get the most bang for my buck. I can’t blame anyone else but me for not knowing the ins and outs of where to buy and when to buy. Hope this info helps.
